About Us
This is us.
We were two parents living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Two busy careers, and two boys growing up fast.
This journey started after bed times, on the ferry commute home, and the topic du jour on date night. We consumed podcasts, talked to our mentors and peers, read/listened to as many books as possible and sketched out plans (no joke- Jennifer got Spencer a whiteboard for his birthday).
Today, we are investors and passionate financial literacy advocates.
Spencer Hilligoss, CEO and Co-Founder
Spencer Hilligoss is CEO and Co-Founder of Madison Investing. He is an active investor and speaker. He currently leads business development and investor relations for Madison Investing.
He is a former technology executive with a 13-year track record building high-performing teams across five companies (three of them, software "unicorns"- valued at
over valued at over $1B). His last run in Silicon Valley was developing the Origination Team for LendingHome and leading their Professional Development group.
Jennifer Morimoto, COO and Co-Founder
Jennifer is COO and Co-Founder of Madison Investing where she leads the company's strategy, operations, and finances.
In addition to her work at Madison Investing, Jennifer is CEO of Madison Education, a residential real estate holding company that supports financial literacy non-profit programs across the country. She also serves as a mentor
in The Stanford Latino Entrepreneur Leaders Program supporting Hispanic business owners through education, mentorship, and networking.
Prior to her real estate career, Jennifer led e-commerce and digital marketing teams for CPG brands. She originally hails from South Pasadena, California. After attending the University of Colorado, Boulder and living in Denver for several years, she and Spencer relocated to the SF Bay Area where they live with their two children.
